Tamar Weekly’s (TW) purpose is to tell Tamar stories to Tamar people wherever they are. In order to do so in a 21st C context TW will need to be a network of networks. Right now, there are is increasing number of people connecting with the world rhizomicly via social media and other interfacing digital platforms. This represents a significant paradigm shift and to a large extent what is being witnessed is a privileging of ‘globalised information’ to the detriment of the cultural realities and networks that have their relevance deeply imbedded in ‘the local’ with their cultural expression celebrated in their homeplaces and their cultural landscapes.
